Policies and Practices

Since housecall pet grooming is a highly varied service, and because traffic in San Antonio can be unpredictable, all appointment times will be set with a

 1-hour window of arrival. Client must be available for the arrival of Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming for the entire set window.

Upon scheduling an appointment, client mustbe capable of providing a lighted and clear 6'x6' area with hard floors, access to an electrical outlet, as well as a tub/sink with running water (with or without a sprayer). If any of these things are not provided, the grooming appointment may be cancelled or limited, at the discretion of Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming. 

Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming requires the pet owner to be home and available for the entirety of the first grooming appointment. This ensures that we are properly introduced to your pet, that we are shown the correct areas in which we may groom/bathe the pet, and that we can properly understand the grooming needs of your pet. 

All clients MUST keep a CURRENT rabies vaccination certificate on file with Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming at all times. If the pet is unable to be vaccinated, Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming requires a signed letter from the vet stating why the pet cannot be vaccinated. Collar tags do no count as proof of vaccination.

Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming requires a 

24-hour notice for cancellations or rescheduling, otherwise a $25 fee will be charged and must be paid before the next appointment will be scheduled.

 If Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming arrives at the client's home but the client is not available within 15 minutes of arrival for the grooming appointment (or does not make prior arrangements with Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming), the client will be charged a 

$45 fee + any travel fees, due before the next appointment will be scheduled.

Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming reserves the right to refuse service for any reason, including but not limited to a pet's health, behavior, and home conditions, etc.

Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming may terminate a service at any time for any reason, and the client will be responsible for the charges up until that time.

All-inclusive services will be provided only if the pet tolerates them. We reserve the right to stop a service or forgo a portion of the service, if necessary for the safety of all parties. Anal gland expression and ear plucking will only be performed on an as-needed and maintenance basis, with prior explicit permision from the pet owner. Services will not be rendered if Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming deems it appropriate for veterinary action instead.

Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming reserves the right to reschedule appointments due to inclement weather and/or unsafe driving conditions. We do not take the decision to reschedule lightly, but if it's necessary to do so, you will be given high priority to reschedule. We appreciate your understanding if this were to occur. 

Please notify Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming of any members of your home that may be sick or ill so that we make take appropriate precautions. We will not cancel an appointment due to an illness in the home, but will happily wear a mask and keep appropiate distance from anyone who may still be contagious.

Only pets that are maintained on a regular schedule qualify for latchkey services. A key or code can be left, so that we may groom while you are out. This service is only offered for regular, established clients. If your pet is difficult to catch, we may ask for them to be crated and/or leashed.

In the rare case that your pet is injured and requires veterinary care due to a perceived accident/negligence, Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming reserves the right to speak directly with the attending veterinarian before covering any costs. It must also be stated in writing that the injury is directly related to an accident/negligence by Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming, and must be signed by the attending veterinarian. Jacqulyne's Pet Grooming does not cover veterinary costs arising from any underlying health conditions or owner neglect (i.e. matted fur).
